TITLE: Discussion and possible action regarding appointment of 1 Youth Member and Board and 1 Adult Member to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
Recommended Action
Consider appointment of Francesco (Frankie) Pucci as a Youth Member and Joan Morgan as an Adult Member to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
Background Information
There are currently two (2) vacancies for Youth Members on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and the vacancy has been announced from October 2015 through September 27, 2016. The City Clerk’s Office has received one application for the Youth Member Position and there are no other applications pending. The Youth Member Applicant is Francesco (Frankie) Pucci. Mr. Pucci has been a resident of North Port for 3 years and is not currently serving on any other boards or committees.
There is currently one (1) vacancy for an Adult Member on the Parks & Regular Advisory Board and the vacancies has been announced from June 28, 2016 through September 27, 2016. The City Clerk’s Office has received one (1) application and there are no applications pending. The applicant is Joan Morgan. Mrs. Morgan just completed her first term, which expired on September 24, 2016, and has submitted her application for consideration of a second term. Mrs. Morgan has been a resident of the City of North Port for 44 years, her attendance at meetings has been excellent and she is not currently serving on any other boards or committees.
The applications for Mr. Pucci and Mrs. Morgan have been submitted for your review and consideration.
