TITLE: Presentation from American Public Works Association Accreditation Regional Director regarding the Department of Public Works Reaccreditation.

Background Information
The Department of Public Works initially achieved accreditation through the American Public Works Association (APWA) in May 2014. Retaining accreditation requires a midterm review every two years and a thorough reaccreditation assessment every four years.
The Department of Public Works earned reaccreditation status in June 2022. Mr. Robert Garland, APWA Regional Director, will provide a presentation to highlight the accreditation program and the benefits accreditation provides to the City of North Port.
