Recommended Action
Approve the Planning and Zoning Advisory Board 2025 Annual Report to the City Commission.
General Information
Per City Code Sec. 4-4.(c).- Reports. All boards must provide verbal or written reports to the City Commission to include the previous calendar year's activities and their goals for the following calendar year in the first quarter of the calendar year each year. The City Commission will review the annual reports, duties, responsibilities and goals of the boards, and, if necessary, meet with the boards to address issues.
During its regular meeting on December 18, 2025, the Planning and Zoning Advisory Board reviewed the draft of the 2025 Annual Report. The board proposed several amendments, including clarifying the board's role, a comprehensive table of application types, an updated set of goals for 2026, and a detailed table outlining the petitions reviewed by the board. Furthermore, the board unanimously agreed to forward the annual report to the City Manager, who will subsequently pass it along to the City Commission with a cover memo, in keeping with established practices from previous years.
