TITLE: Approve the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and City of North Port, Florida, Lead Contracting Agency Agreement Permitting the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office to Act as the Agency Lead in Ensuring that the City of North Port, Florida, is Compliant with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Justice Information Systems Security Policy for Use of Fusus Software for Surveillance Data Access.
Recommended Action
Approve the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and City of North Port, Florida, Lead Contracting Agency Agreement permitting the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office to act as the agency lead in ensuring that the City of North Port, Florida, is compliant with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Justice Information Systems security policy for use of Fusus software.
Background Information
On March 14, 2023, the City of North Port entered into a service agreement with Pileum Corporation for use of the Fusus platform to view public and community video sources for incident situational awareness and investigations. Under the Pileum Corporation Agreement, the City of North Port is required to have an agency lead to ensure compliance with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Justice Information Systems Security Policy. The Lead Contracting Agency Agreement meets this requirement. Without this Agreement, the North Port Police Department's Investigations Unit will not be permitted to use the Fusus software.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and City of North Port, Florida, Lead Contracting Agency Agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
