Background Information
On June 24, 2025, the Planning & Zoning Division received an application petitioning the City of North Port to vacate a 10-foot (±650 square feet) portion of the existing 20-foot rear maintenance easement located on Lot 1, Block 1538 of the 31st Addition to the Port Charlotte Subdivision. The purpose of this vacation request is to allow the property owner to construct a pool behind the existing single-family residence. The subject property is zoned Activity Center 3 (AC-3) with a Future Land Use designation of Activity Center 3 (AC-3).
Resolution No. 2026-R-15 has been reviewed by the City Attorney’s Office and is legally correct as to form.
Resolution No. 2026-R-15 was provided to the City Clerk’s Office on February 27, 2026, for signature, subject to City Commission approval.
