Background Information
The North Port Fire Rescue Department is requesting an increase of $200,000 to the Fire Impact Fee Fund revenue and expenditure budgets to reflect anticipated additional impact fee revenue and provide sufficient budget for the corresponding developer reimbursement payment required under the West Villages Post Annexation Developer Agreement. Reimbursement payments are based on actual impact fee revenues received.
Ordinance No. 2026-29 has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.

During the City Commission Regular Meeting held on September 8, 2026, Ordinance No. 2026-29 was continued as presented to second reading on a 5-0 vote.
Ordinance No. 2026-29 was submitted to the City Clerk’s Office on September 9, 2026, for signature, subject to Commission approval.
