TITLE:                     Approve the Forty-Two (42) Month Service Agreement Proposal between the City of North Port and Pileum Corporation in the Amount of $350,000 for the Fusus Software Enterprise Package for Surveillance Data Access.

Recommended Action

Approve the forty-two (42) month Service Agreement Proposal between the City of North Port and Pileum Corporation in the amount of $350,000 for the Fusus Software Enterprise Package for surveillance data access.

Background Information

Fusus is a platform for the Real Time Intelligence Center that extracts and unifies live video, data and sensor feeds from virtually any source, enhancing the situational awareness and investigative capabilities for law enforcement officers. This new software would be very beneficial for investigative detectives, as well as incident awareness during an active critical incident or major event. With this platform, members of the community and business owners can register their privately owned cameras via a custom website portal. This provides the North Port Police Department with capabilities to view a live camera feed that is in the area of an active or in progress call. This software also includes the integration of North Port Police Department Computer Aided Dispatch system, drone feeds, Live Body Worn Camera feeds, covert cameras, and license plate readers as required. This software is part of the new Real Time Intelligence Center for the Police Department.  Warranty and technical support are included with this proposal.

Approving this agreement will authorize the City Manager or City Manager’s authorized designee to approve and execute all Agreement amendments on behalf of City that do not change City’s financial obligations under this Agreement.

This agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.

Strategic Plan

Funding for the payment of $50,000.00, due this fiscal year, is budgeted in the 001-2100-521-52-50 account of the Police Department budget. Funding for upcoming fiscal years will be contingent upon budget approvals. This agreement is $350,000 for 42 months and $600,000 for 66 months with optional renewals at $125,000 for year five (5) and $125,000 for year six (6).
