• Cons: May result in continued use of outdated or inconsistent services, potentially impacting staff satisfaction, efficiency, and facility presentation.
Background Information
The Public Works Department currently utilizes Unifirst for uniform rental services for operational staff. After evaluating alternative options, staff determined that Cintas Corporation No. 2 (Cintas) offers a more efficient and flexible solution that will enhance service quality, improve internal processes, and expand available options for staff.
Cintas provides a full-service uniform and workplace solutions program, including:
• Custom uniform design and professional fitting (“True Fit” services).
• Weekly uniform laundering, repairs, and replacements.
• Routine delivery and pickup of uniform items.
• OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA safety-compliant apparel.
• Additional workplace solutions, such as, floor mat cleaning, lock and soil bin services, safety and hygiene-related product support.
These services will be procured through existing cooperative purchasing agreements with OMNIA Partners, ensuring competitive pricing and reduced administrative workload through pre-vetted Agreements. The services proposed are available through the following cooperative contracts:

An Addendum to the Agreement has been included to ensure compliance with key legal and administrative requirement, including:
• Adherence to Florida’s public records law.
• Use of the E-Verify system and compliance with immigration laws.
• Provisions related to vendor eligibility and anti-discrimination standards.
• Terms governing public entity contract compliance and legal jurisdiction.
The Workplace Solutions Cooperative Acceptance Agreement and Addendum to Agreement between City of North Port, Florida, and Cintas Corporation No. 2 for uniforms and workplace products has been reviewed by the Interim City Attorney and are legally correct as to form.
The Workplace Solutions Cooperative Acceptance Agreement and Addendum to Agreement was provided to the City Clerk's Office on October 3, 2025, for signature subject to City Commission approval.
