Option 1: Approve the appointments of Tony Giannotti and Lisa Rodriguez as Regular Members to serve a first term on the Community Economic Development Advisory Board from October 6, 2026, through October 6, 2029.

Background Information

 

Currently, there are two vacancies on the Community Economic Development Advisory Board. The vacancies were announced as required. The City Clerk received applications from Tony Giannotti on August 31, 2026, and Lisa Rodriguez on September 15, 2026. Both applicants meet residency requirements and do not currently serve on any City Board/Committee. Mr. Giannotti is being considered for the Tourism, Sports, or Entertainment category based on his arts, cultural programming, event, and business experience; Ms. Rodriguez applied for the Public Relations category and has extensive human resources, recruiting, workforce development, and community engagement experience. The applications have been submitted for review.

 

There are no conflicts to note under Florida Statutes 112.3143.
