• Pros: Will allow for the City’s participation in the Florida 511 travel alerts system for residents and visitors to receive up to date traffic information.
• Cons: Staff has not identified a con for approving the Data Quality Plan Outline.
Option 2: Deny the Travel-IQ Florida 511 Data Quality Plan Outline for municipal data entry into Florida 511 system.
• Pros: Staff has not identified a pro for denying the Data Quality Plan Outline.
• Cons: City will not be able to participate in the Florida 511 travel alert system, which could lead to important traffic information not being shared timely.
Background Information
During the City Commission Regular Meeting on June 25, 2025, the Commission approved the terms and conditions and End User License Agreement with Arcadis U.S., Inc. for the City’s participation in the Florida 511 system for the communication of travel advisories related to North Port roadways.
The vendor additionally requires the Data Quality Plan Outline be signed by the City to ensure that complete, accurate information is provided to Florida 511.
The Travel-IQ Florida 511 Data Quality Plan Outline for municipal data entry into Florida 511 system has been reviewed by the Interim City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
