The City of Tallahassee Vehicle Contract #3921 will be utilized to purchase one (1) replacement Ford F-150 truck for the Operations and Maintenance Division of the Department of Public Works. This vehicle will be utilized by staff to inspect work order requests for the City’s road and drainage infrastructure. The existing Ford F-15 (CID #71256) will be disposed of through the City’s auction services.

The City of Tallahassee Vehicle Contract #3921 will be utilized to purchase three (3) replacement Ford F-250 trucks with utility service bodies for the Operations and Maintenance Division of the Department of Public Works. These vehicles will be utilized by mowing crews to tow a 14,000 LB capacity trailer loaded with zero turn mowers, utility vehicles, and associated lawn care products or any combination of the equipment and supplies. The existing Ford F-350 (CID #70869), the existing Ford F-250 (CID # 70396) and the existing Ford F-250 CID #70397 will be disposed through the City’s auction services.

The City of Tallahassee Vehicle Contract #3921 will be utilized to purchase one (1) replacement Ford F-350 flat-bed truck for the Operations and Maintenance Division of the Department of Public Works. This vehicle will have a 100-gallon tank mounted on the bed as well as a tool box required for herbicide spraying. The Ford F-350 will be utilized by staff to tow an airboat with an additional 100-gallon liquid spray tank. The existing Ford F-350 (CID #70878) will be disposed through the City’s auction services.
The City of Tallahassee issued a formal Request for Proposal number 0123-16-KM-RC. The City of Tallahassee competitively solicited the services to procure certain light-duty vehicles, including associated accessories and equipment and awarded the contract on January 25, 2017. The Fleet Management Division of the Department of Public Works proposes to utilize the City of Tallahassee Contract #3921 with Beck Auto Sales, Inc. as an approved method of procurement.
While City ordinance authorizes the City Manager to utilize piggyback agreements, the City Manager’s policy requires all procurements exceeding $100,000 to be presented to Commission for consideration.
Vehicle and capital equipment replacements are determined through a combination of mileage, age, hours and efficiency, as well as changing industry standards.
