Recommended Action
Approve Contract No. 2022-35 for the construction of the Marina Park restrooms with C & T Contracting Services, LLC, in the amount of $187,770 plus a construction contingency of $7,460 for an estimated construction amount of $195,230.
Background Information
Request for Bid (RFB) No. 2022-35 was issued on July 21, 2022, for construction of the Marina Park restrooms. Four (4) bids were received from C & T Contracting Services, LLC of Tampa, Qualis General Contractors, LLC of Tampa, Florida, A2 Group Inc., and Kloote Contracting Inc (which was deemed non-responsive) and opened on August 22, 2022. Of the four bids, C & T Contracting Services, LLC was deemed the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. It is the intent to provide an ADA compliant, prefabricated concrete restroom and related site improvements at Marina Park. Water, sewer, and power are available; connections to which will be the responsibility of the contractor.
The City Attorney has reviewed Contract No. 2022-35 and it is legally correct as to form.

The construction of the Marina Park restrooms project is funded in the Fiscal Year 2023 budget, under Project Number P20MPR in the amount of $205,000 ($202,230 available to date), as reflected in account number 306-3036-572-63-00 Surtax.
Procurement
RFB No. 2022-35 is procured pursuant to Chapter 2 - Administration, Article VIII - Procurement Section 2-404 - Competitive Sealed Bid Process, of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.
