TITLE:                     Approve the Third Modification to the Sub-Grant Agreement Between the Division of Emergency Management and the City of North Port for the City Hall Generator Project Extending the Period of Agreement to November 30, 2022

Recommended Action

Approve the third Modification to the Sub-Grant Agreement Between the Division of Emergency Management and the City of North Port extending the period of agreement to November 30, 2022.

Background Information

In 2019, the City entered into a Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) contract # H0131 with the Division of Emergency Management for the generator project to supply City Hall with a sufficient back-up power supply in the event of a power outage. This contract has two prior approved modifications for additional funding and for extended time to complete the project.

Modification No. 3 was approved by the Florida Department of Emergency Management to extend the period of the grant to November 30, 2022.  Due to severe supply chain issues, manufacturing and delivery of the generator has been pushed to mid to late 2022.

This item has been reviewed and approved as to form by the City Attorney.
