Recommended Action

Approve Order No. Q-172994 under the Master Subscription Agreement with Granicus, LLC for professional services and subscription fees for the redesign of the City’s website in the estimated amount of $135,232.00.

Background Information

In 2014, the City contracted Vision Internet Providers for the last upgrade and redesign of the City’s website.

In 2020, Granicus, LLC acquired Vision Internet and has been performing site maintenance and hosting services as needed.  Pursuant to Commission direction, the Communications Division of the City Manager’s Office has been working with IT in exploring the redesign and improvements to the City’s website.  As Granicus has been maintaining the City’s existing site and has intimate knowledge of the City’s site and the various operational platforms providing online services through the site, staff recommends obtaining the necessary services for the site redesign and subscription services through Granicus, LLC.

Granicus has made technology improvements to their offerings for options and online services which will improve efficiency of operations and site navigation, while improving the customer experience.

For many citizens, the City’s website serves as the front door to North Port services. The goal of the redesign is to transform NorthPortFL.gov into a modern government website that is:

more service-focused, helps residents do things faster and builds trust

more flexible, so that staff can edit the layout of the site to keep it fresh and updated

equipped with more efficient tools for reaching residents through email, text and social media

Granicus, LLC has offered the City pricing under the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) Contract No. 01-115.  By using the NCPA Contract, the City has the benefit of the volume pricing from national procurement.

The City Attorney has reviewed Order No. Q-172994 under the Master Subscription Agreement for National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance Contract No. 01-115 as to form and correctness.
