House Bill 657 went into effect on July 1, 2023, authorizing municipalities to use speed detection systems to enforce the speed limit in school zones at specified periods. This Agreement complies with House Bill 657 and will be utilized to address excessive speed in school zones while school is in session, reducing the speeds of vehicles traveling through active school zones while children are arriving and leaving with the use of speed detection systems at designated school zones.
This aligns with the Police Department's commitment to community traffic safety.
