Toledo Blade for a Change in Scope and Time Extension With Spectrum Underground, Inc., for an Additional Amount of $199,227.50, for a Total Contract Price of $706,643.85.
Recommended Action
Approve Amendment No. 2 to Construction Contract No. 2022-26 - Water Pipeline Bridge Replacements - Haberland/Woodhaven/N. Toledo Blade for a Change in Scope and Time Extension with Spectrum Underground, Inc., for an additional amount of $199,227.50, for a total contract price of $706,643.85.
Background Information
During the City Commission Regular Meeting held on July 12, 2022, the Commission approved Construction Contract No. 2022-26 - Water Pipeline Bridge Replacements for the replacement of the water pipelines affixed to bridge crossings along Haberland Boulevard, Woodhaven Drive and N. Toledo Blade Boulevard under Project No. U21WBR.
On December 21, 2022, Spectrum Underground, Inc., submitted a Change Order request for the replacement of the wastewater pipeline at the MacCaughey Waterway bridge crossing along Price Boulevard. This work is necessary to accommodate the Price Boulevard Widening Project. Please note the submission of a Change Order by Spectrum Underground, Inc. was at the request of the City due to the similar nature of this additional work which is already being done for this Project.
The cost of the additional work is $199,227.50, and the additional work will extend the contract time by ninety days.
Amendment No. 2 to Construction Contract No. 2022-26 - Water Pipeline Bridge Replacements - Haberland/Woodhaven/N. Toledo Blade for a Change in Scope and Time Extension with Spectrum Underground, Inc. has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
