Approve Work Assignment 2023-07 with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., for the Hillsborough Water Main Replacement and Relocation Project, in the amount of $164,950.00.
Background Information
The Department of Public Works is currently in the design process for the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of South Cranberry Boulevard and Hillsborough Boulevard. Watermains within the project area will need to be replaced and relocated in conjunction with the roundabout construction, requiring an engineering consultant to provide design, permitting, and general oversight services. To date, Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc has provided all engineering services for the Public Works project, including the survey and geotechnical investigation. Because of their historical knowledge of the project and data collected to date, Utilities recommends Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. be awarded the work assignment for this project, in the amount of $164,590.00.
