TITLE: Approve Renewal of Request for Bid 2018-03 Groundskeeping and Mowing Services of Select City Properties to Natural Designs Landscaping, LLC and Walkers Service, Inc. for an Additional One (1) Year Term, through September 30, 2021, at the Same Terms and Conditions and Authorize the City Manager to Approve the Future Remaining Renewal Term.
Recommended Action
Approve renewal of Request for Bid 2018-03 Groundskeeping and Mowing Services of Select City Properties to Natural Designs Landscaping LLC and Walkers Service, Inc. for an additional one (1) year term, through September 30, 2021, at the same terms and conditions and authorize the City Manager to approve the future remaining renewal term.
Background Information
RFB No. 2018-03, for Groundskeeping and Mowing Services of Select City Properties with Natural Designs Landscaping (NDL) LLC and Walkers Service, Inc. was approved at the April 10, 2018, City Commission Regular Meeting for the initial term, through and including September 30, 2020, and may be renewed at the same unit prices, terms and conditions for two (2) additional one (1) year terms, by mutual agreement.
The Groundskeeping and Mowing Services were awarded as follows:
Group C: Walkers Service, Inc.: Groundskeeping and Mowing Services for Warm Mineral Springs Interior and Front and Fire Rescue 85 Finish Mowing.
Groups A, B, and D: NDL LLC: Groundskeeping and Mowing Services for Atwater Park, Fire Rescue 83, Fire Rescue 84, Public Works Complex, Hope Park, Kirk Park, LaBrea Park, Marius Park, McKibben Park, and Pine Park. Warm Mineral Springs Exterior, Fire Rescue 85 and the Narramore Swales.
As permitted by the Procurement Code, purchase orders will be issued upon award of this bid and any subsequent renewals. The Purchase Order, submitted Bid form signed by the Bidder, together with the complete bid package and any addenda furnished by the City shall constitute a binding contract.
This will be the first renewal term of the allotted two (2) one (1) year terms.

Funding in the amount of $25,784 is budgeted in the Facilities Maintenance FY 2021 budget in account number 001-0760-519.46-09, R&M Landscaping.
Funding in the amount of $35,960 is budgeted in the Parks & Recreation FY 2021 budget in account number 001-3038-572.46-09, R&M Landscaping, and $57,110 in account 125-3036-572-46-09, R&M Landscaping.
Procurement
Groundskeeping and mowing services were procured pursuant to Chapter 2 - Administration, Article VIII - Procurement, Section 2-404 - Competitive Sealed Bid Process of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.
