TITLE: Discussion and possible direction regarding a logo exchange proposal by the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce
Recommended Action
Discuss and provide direction regarding a logo exchange proposal by the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce.
Background information
This is a proposal from the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce to more prominently display the ongoing support and collaboration between the City of North Port and the Chamber. In exchange for the City’s logo being promoted and displayed in all of the Chamber’s marketing and promotional material (print, web, and email; except the banner which has already been printed for their fiscal year) at a Chamber Champion level - it is being proposed that the Chamber logo will in turn be displayed in the marketing and promotional material for the City’s upcoming six (6) events as an in-kind sponsor:
Firecracker 5K
Freedom Festival
Cocoplum Paddle-A-Thon
Trick or Treat at City Hall
Tree Lighting & Poinsettia Festival
Poinsettia Parade
This is being proposed as an in-kind sponsorship (logo exchange program only). The placement of the Chamber logo will not curtail any of the City’s ability to solicit paid sponsorships for these City events. This is a 12-month logo exchange program proposal, for the 2017 City events listed above.
