TITLE: Approve the Application to the Fiscal Year 2027 Federal Community Projects Funding Request Program for the Upsizing of Four Wastewater Pumping Stations in the Amount of $1,680,000, and Authorize the City Manager or the Mayor, as Applicable Under the City Charter, to Execute all Funding Documents After Legal Review.
Recommended Action
Option 1: Approve the application to the Fiscal Year 2027 Federal Community Projects Funding Request Program for the upsizing of four wastewater pumping stations in the amount of $1,680,000, and authorize the City Manager or the Mayor, as applicable under the City Charter, to execute all funding documents after legal review.

Background Information
City staff prepared a Federal Appropriation request in the amount of $1,680,000 for the upsizing of four wastewater pumping stations. Upsizing wastewater pumping stations is necessary for wastewater system expansions to occur. Expansion of the wastewater system will spur and support commercial economic development in the northeast region of the City.

Financial Impact
If the appropriations request is approved, the City will receive up to $1,680,000 towards the total estimated cost of $2,100,000 for this project. Matching funds of $420,000 are planned for Fiscal Year 2028 within the Lift Station Rehab Capital Improvement Program UTProgram-LSR, account number 420-6062-535.63-00.
