Recommended Action

 

Option 1: Approve the Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement for the provision of insurance coverage in the event of a security incident.

                     Pros: Additional insurance on Falcon Complete Performance. The additional insurance is included in the City’s subscription at no additional cost.

                     Cons: Staff have not identified a con to approving the Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement for the provision of insurance coverage in the event of a security incident.

 

Option 2: Deny the Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement for the provision of insurance coverage in the event of a security incident.

 

                     Pros: Staff have not identified an advantage to denying the Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement for the provision of insurance coverage in the event of a security incident.

                     Cons: Missed opportunity for vendor-backed response support.

 

Background Information

 

The Annual Security Complete is a security tool that has been installed on City devices. The Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement is a limited warranty should the City experience a security incident in the future. In such an event, the security company will reimburse the City for expenses that directly result from that security incident up to a maximum amount not to exceed the cap set forth in the table below:

The Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement for the provision of insurance coverage in the event of a security incident has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form. In addition, the Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement for the provision of insurance coverage in the event of a security incident has been reviewed and approved by the Risk and Benefits Manager, Human Resources Department.

 

The Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement for the provision of insurance coverage in the event of a security incident was previously approved by the City Commission on July 26, 2022, September 12, 2023, and November 26, 2024.

 

 

The Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement for the provision of insurance coverage in the event of a security incident was provided to the City Clerk’s Office, for signatures, on January 16, 2026, subject to City Commission approval.

 

The Annual Security Complete Limited Warranty Agreement for the provision of insurance coverage in the event of a security incident is exempt from public records pursuant to Florida Statutes Section 119.0725 and therefore is not attached to this agenda item.
