Recommended Action
Approve Ninth Amendment to Agreement No. 2015-19, Professional Engineering Services for the Widening of Price Boulevard, from Sumter Boulevard to Toledo Blade Boulevard to Consor Engineers, LLC in the amount of $298,373.69.
Background Information
On September 28, 2015, the City of North Port entered into Agreement No. 2015-19 with American Consulting Engineers of Florida, LLC for Professional Engineering Services to design and produce plans for the Price Boulevard Widening Project. American Consulting Engineers of Florida, LLC has since been acquired by Consor Engineers, LLC.
The design and permitting of Price Boulevard Widening - Phase I has been completed and construction is anticipated to start soon. The Ninth Amendment to Agreement 2015-19 adds post design services to the Contract, allowing the City to utilize the Engineer of Record during construction for activities such as the following:
Ø Shop drawing review.
Ø Responding to contractor Requests for Information (RFI’s).
Ø Minor plan modifications, as needed, to accommodate any unforeseen conditions or issues pertaining to temporary construction easements.
The Ninth Amendment to Agreement 2015-19 includes a not to exceed amount of $298,373.69. The City will only pay for the work actually performed by the consultant, on an hourly basis.
Approval of the Ninth Amendment to Agreement No. 2015-19 will bring the Agreement total to $4,847,709.66 as summarized in the table below:

Procurement
Professional Engineering Services were procured, for Contract 2015-19, pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-406 - Professional services selection under Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA), F.S. §287.055 of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.
