Recommended Action
Approve the First Amendment to the Paymentus Master Services Agreement for a New Statement of Work between the City of North Port and Paymentus Corporation and Statement of Work for Payment Processing of Electronic Payments related to Requests for Public Records in the amount of $8,750.00.
Background Information
The following provides a chronological order of events:
Ø The City utilized the USAEpay Automated Merchant Services (AMS) Platform to process credit card payments for requests for public records.
Ø June 7, 2023: The City received notification from AMS that due to the small revenue generated from only one merchant account, they did not want to amend the Standard Agreement presented to include requested changes from the City Attorney’s Office.
Ø June 30, 2023: The City’s account with AMS was removed from their system.
Ø The City currently uses Paymentus Corporation for online payment services. The City Clerk’s Department has met with the Information Technology Division, Finance Department, and Paymentus representatives regarding the use of Paymentus for online payments for public records requests.
