Recommended Action

Background Information
Literacy Volunteers of South Sarasota County, Inc. offers literacy services to adults who want to improve their functional reading, writing, and English-speaking skills. Trained volunteers provide one-on-one tutoring, classroom group learning, online learning, as well as student chats.
The tenant Lease Agreement expired on October 31, 2024. The lease term was amended to extend the lease by one additional year, expiring on October 31, 2025. This Second Amendment extends the term of the current Lease Agreement by one year, expiring on October 31, 2026. The lease amount of $406.92/per month is unchanged from the previous Lease Agreement. Once a City-wide standardized lease policy takes effect the Agreement will need to come back to Commission for approval under the new terms.
