Recommended Action

Background Information
The City of North Port’s website has been hosted by Vision Internet Providers Inc. since 2008. Granicus, LLC purchased Vision Internet Providers Inc. on February 2018 and is assuming the City’s agreement with Vision Internet Providers, requiring the execution of an Assumption Agreement. This assumption is necessary for the continued hosting of the City’s website.
The City purchased the Legislative Suite from Granicus, LLC back in 2013 to create and manage agenda items. eComment is the Granicus, LLC program which will allows the public to make comments virtually on agenda items instead of in person. Like agendas, the public will be able to go on the City’s website to review the agenda items and leave comments for those items. The addition of eComment to the City’s Purchase Order with Granicus, LLC will require the execution of an Addendum to the existing contract.
Both agreements have been reviewed by Legal for form and correctness.

Financial Impact
The cost for the Granicus, LLC e-comment is $2,100.00. There is no additional cost resulting from the assumption of the VisionLive agreement and has been included in the proposed City Manager, Information Technology division budget for the FY2020-21 under account number 001-0710-516-46-01.
Procurement
The original procurement of maintenance services was made in accordance with Sec 2-407, Sole Source guidelines of the City Procurement Code and the amendment will be procured in the same manner. Required forms will be sent to Procurement when purchase is made.
