Background Information

As part of an ongoing maintenance program to avoid sewer overflows and correct deficiencies in the wastewater collection system, the City of North Port Utilities cleans and televises gravity wastewater mains.  During the inspection process, debris is collected from the lines and disposed in drying beds. The city currently uses City of Venice and Charlotte County to dispose of the debris. Those entities have recently asked North Port Utilities to stop bringing debris to them.

The City of North Port is seeking to secure the services of an experienced, professional, licensed, and qualified Contractor capable of providing construction services in accordance with the specifications and drawings to construct the SWWRF Sludge Drying Bed in its entirety.
