Background Information
The North Port Police Department is dedicated to serving and protecting those who live, work, and visit the City of North Port. In a single day, our Officers respond to calls for service for a number of reasons, ranging from minor or low risk events (such as traffic accidents and noise complaints) to active shooters or incidents that may result in personal injury or death to Officers. SWORN focuses on the health and well-being of first responders and law enforcement Officers who respond to high-intensity calls.
SWORN is a cloud-based software platform developed with the goal of identifying and preventing physical and mental stresses associated with high-pressure jobs of first responders focusing on the following:
Ø Reducing illness, burnout, turnover, and safety risks through the advanced analysis of calls for service.
The SWORN License and Services Agreement allows for twenty (20) members of the North Port Police Department to participate in SWORN’s pilot program for a term of six months at no cost to the City.
