Background Information
The Department of Public Works is seeking to purchase property located on E. Price Boulevard, Parcel Identification No. 1152480040, currently owned by Adderly Realty Company, LLC, formally known as 813 Insurance Agency, LLC. This parcel contains a portion of Retention Ditch R-558 and the acquisition of this parcel will provide access for future maintenance and rehabilitation of R-558 to ensure the City’s stormwater system performs as designed.
An appraisal report completed on April 30, 2025, by Hettema Saba, LLC, listed the property value at $14,800.00. Public Works has worked with American Acquisition Group, LLC to purchase this property and an agreement has been reached by the seller to sell the property to the North Port Road and Drainage District for $13,550.00.
Resolution No. 2025-R-49 has been reviewed by the Interim City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.

Funding in the amount of $13,550.00 is available in the Fiscal Year 2025 Road and Drainage District Budget, account number 107-5000-541.61-00, Capital Project R22RDD.
Procurement
Purchase of property will be pursuant to Sec.2-403 (a)(3)c of the City of North Port Procurement Code - Real property, real estate brokering, or appraising.
