Background Information

On April 3, 2026, the Planning & Zoning Division received an application petitioning the City of North Port to grant a portion of vacation for the platted rear 10-foot utility and drainage easements located at the rear of Lots 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, Block 690 of the 17th Addition to the Port Charlotte Subdivision. The purpose of this vacation of easement request is to allow for the construction detached garage with a driveway between the two Lots, 17 and 19, that were combined under unity of title. The area to be vacated encompasses approximately 3,830 square feet and is zoned Residential, Low (R-1) with a Future Land Use designation of Low Density Residential (LDR).

Resolution No. 2026-R-61 has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
