TITLE: Approve Software as a Services (SaaS) Agreement By and Between the City of North Port and Municipal Media Corp (Recycle Coach) for a Resident Waste and Recycling Information Web and Mobile Application, at Annual Unit Prices in the Agreement and Authorize the City Manager to Approve Renewals in Accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Agreement.
Recommended Action
Option 1: Approve a Software as a Service (SaaS) Agreement by and between the City of North Port and Municipal Media Corp (Recycle Coach) for a resident waste and recycling information web and mobile application, at annual unit prices in the agreement and authorize the City Manager to approve renewals in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement.
City Commission Options
Option 1: Approve a Software as a Service (SaaS) Agreement by and between the City of North Port and Municipal Media Corp (Recycle Coach) for a resident waste and recycling information web and mobile application, at annual unit prices in the agreement and authorize the City Manager to approve renewals in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement.
* Pros: Approval secures uninterrupted solid waste service communications to residents through an established and widely used platform. Recycle Coach is currently used to maintain the existing level of service by providing residents with access to collection calendars, reminders, service alerts and recycling education.
* Cons: An Agreement commits the City to a long-term contract, limiting flexibility to adopt new or improved technologies that may become available in the future.
Option 2: Deny the Software as a Service (SaaS) Agreement by and between the City of North Port and Municipal Media Corp (Recycle Coach) for a resident waste and recycling information web and mobile application.
