Recommended Action
Adopt Resolution No. 2022-R-36 as presented.
Background Information
The Department of Public Works is requesting authorization to purchase land for the future site of the Solid Waste Transfer Station located on Silverleaf Road. Public Works staff has worked with Arlena Dominick, Consultant Project Manager, American Acquisition Group to purchase property, Parcel Identification Number 1128227624, currently owned by Timothy D. Sleighter and Kimberly Sleighter Brester. An agreement has been reached with Timothy D. Sleighter and Kimberly Sleighter Brester to sell this property to the Solid Waste District at the appraised value of $17,600.
Resolution No. 2022-R-36 has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.

Funding in the amount of $17,600.00 is available in the Fiscal Year 2022 Solid Waste District Budget, account number 306-3032-534.61-00; Capital Project SW22TS.
Procurement
Purchase of property will be pursuant to Sec.2-403 (a)(3)c of the City of North port Procurement Code - Real Property, real estate brokering, or appraising.
